The owner of the above 3000+ SF house centered on a large lot, was
able to subdivide his property by relocating his home to one side of
the lot, allowing for new construction on the other side.
A
steel support structure, assembled beneath the building, was used to
lift the structure from its original foundation. Steel tracks
were laid out to carry the house from the center of the property to
its new location. The building traveled along the tracks to
sit a few feet above the excavation for the new foundation.
After the new foundation was poured, the house was lowered to its
final position.
